Why do pop stars not just hire an IDM artist to produce their songs? It doesn't even have to be pic related, but most of these top-tier musicians understand electronic music, rhythm, effects etc to a much higher degree than any industry plant. And to make shit both creative and fun while accessible enough for the masses could prove an interesting challenge for these artists. Win-win.
