Yeah that was lame, Trump is pretty much the only major international political figure I can think of who has taken any substantial interest in sumo in recent years and his country doesn't even have anyone ranked high on the banzuke. Russia has one and it looks like Wakomotochina could be in makuuchi soon too, but Xi & Putin aren't interested.
