Now I can't wait to see this. I've always wanted a space sim where I can explore a fully realised Mars. Sure, there's SpaceEngine, but it's really barebones up close and doesn't really capture the same feel. Imagine spending hours planning your mission, all the logistics, the rocketry, the manoeuvres, the landing, the habitat establishment. Not being able to just teleport where ever you want would really make Mars feel like a vast empty planet that you have to explore, and having to keep an eye on your life support adds another level of immersion and realism. I just want to descend to the depths of the Mariner Valleys and take in the immense scale of it, or establish a base in the Phlegra Mountains in Elysium and watch it expand into a full city, going roving across the vast untouched dunes of Mars every day and watching out for dust storms.
