I doubt that factor can really work on its own, but in any case, are you implying that would be somehow not valid?
Can't speak for anybody else, but I enjoy pixel art differently if the developers actually had the choice of whether using it or not and went for it just as an aesthetic, which is the case with most modern games that use it.
