no, thats bullshit. who was saying the program was fake and got killed? Not Baron - he was just calling out some potential safety regulation problems. Not the Apollo 1 crew - they were just calling out some quality control issues on the command module construction, and, funnily enough, both of these compaints were against the same contracting company - North American Aviation, which went through a major change of management due to the fire, after which they got their shit together and did better work.
