Yeah, there aren't really any bas characters in PSIV, it's just that they only give you one optional party slot and Raja's too damn good not to take unless you're deliberately trying to challenge yourself. It'd be a very different conversation if Chaz was the only mandatory party member for the final dungeon. I'd have probably swapped out Wren and Rika if I could.
