Sam and Jet like to tout a YOLO philosophy without nuance - you only have one life, you were only put here for a short time, it is your responsibility to do what's best for you at all times. This degrades into a self-serving ethics however, which is exemplified by both Sam and Jet refusing to openly acknowledge their questionable pasts, burning bridges, pitting themselves against an increasing roster of enemies that they must defeat at all costs. To them, life is not about completion or balance, but self-aggrandizement - a completely materialistic worldview. This is why I always took Sam's bullshit alpha male proselyting with a grain of salt. How he can preach his crypto-MGTOW slop without a hint of irony. Not to say he doesn't have valuable takes, such as cutting bad people out of your life, writing down your goals and problems to create actionable solutions, etc. But that's not the whole picture, and anyone who blindly follows what he preaches will turn out exactly like him - bitter, standoffish, cynical. I fear Jet is already far too deep in this to be saved, and it shows.
