I doubt that there's an age limit on that. GW is never going to delver deeper into topics like this, but if we go by the HRE system then you don't need to be a specific age to be elected... you just have to be a man (or boy in younger cases). Henry IV was just three years old when he became emperor-elect.

I think this is one of those lore tidbits that shows how bad GW is at sticking to a specific canon for their own settings. The one that came up with the Three Emperors shit went with the assumption that emperors can generally only really be men, and the writers behind other lore information either disregarded it or (most likely) didn't bother to read what was established before.
Virtually all the emperors of note besides the Ottilians (the Maria Theresas of this empire?) were men, with Beatrice being a very late RPG addition.
