I'd find it fuckin' annoying to have two of the things, it's already hard enough to fit one into your base and who the hell wants to travel to a separate base every 20-30 minutes before returning to your main to drop off the items.
There's really only one other expedition that's even halfway useful to run, which is PAL Genetic Research Laboratory since it gives a decent amount of pal souls of all rarities, but that's all it gives so it's very iffy on whether it deserves space in your head.

It is annoying to build into your base, but it can be surprisingly aesthetic and convenient if you only have one. I have it in my base like this so it's very convenient.
