No, asteroid wasn't part of the big space update he said was coming. This was long after asteroid, but a finished version of asteroid may have been part of it. For years Tyler said we were getting a big moon/space themed update. Hell he even said we were getting a "2008 themed update." Tyler removes/unlists videos where he's not proven right because he's aware it affects his credibility when his bullshit isn't right. Here he is mentioning both are coming and we're DEFINITELY getting one of them:

The "4k players" thing was from another video he hid where he said TF2 only had "6k players as of this taping" and this was the "legitimate player count." Even though he was checking the site at 4 am and not understanding how teamwork.tf gets its figures (it's not something you can just substract from the steam player count).

He later had to rescind this claim on Twitter when other, smarter people proved his claim wrong (which is why he hid this video, because again, he tries to pretend he's never wrong).

Oh yeah, he also could've had a free Valve Index but he was too stupid to check his email and missed it. Only saw the email a year later.
I don't know where you Tyler dicksuckers came from but even if you believe most of what he says is true, the simple fact that he removes/hides videos where he's WRONG to try and pretend he's always right should sow distrust in you.
