Nah sucrose is worse.
You get twice the amount.
The enzyme does play a part but not enough to say that its better BECAUSE your body has to break it down. The breaking down probably isnt the problem.
For the record I think that sugars in general are bad in large natural amounts. Unless you are finding a sweetener that isn't a sugar you're not going to get anywhere. It's the sugar AND the amount thats the problem not the sugar in any form itself. We need to cut out sugar and with it any artificial sweetener aswell.
That being said cane sugar cola just tastes better. I imagine if somebody took out all the fructose from juice and replaced it with cane sugar people would complain.
