I bought it 2 years ago when I was working 70hr weeks. I was working 2 jobs one point. So I had that asset and it's worth a good amount, didn't depreciate because not everyone wants a sterile new car. I looked after it well. I also have saved some money from spacker bennies. That gives me budget of around 8000. Considering I still am to build up new bike, I want a garmin watch, I need to try new saddles and some other things, I've done well to hold off and save.
Considering this sort of thing, it's very affordable. Only concern is fuel efficiency and service costs. Otherwise micro camper like Fiat doblo, citeron berlingo or another small van based vehicle.
