I realized something this morning. Up until today, never thinking about it, I always assumed that Marko was Helmut Marko's first name and everyone was just saying it in reverse order as people sometimes do with some cultures. Maybe because Marko is a common first name here.

But no, Marko is to be his surname.

So i google his parents and theres not much info
>Helmut Marko lost his parents during a bombing raid towards the end of World War II.
>The names of Helmut Marko's parents are not publicly available. While his biography is well-documented in the context of motorsport, information about his family background, including his parents' names, is not typically disclosed in readily available sources.
And he was born in Germany, but moved to different country at the end of ww2. Plus my brain subconsciously didnt accept Marko as a legit surname.

I believe Helmut Marko's parent was someone really high in the Reich, someone whose name and actions are well documented and thus his son had to hide it (and flee the country). Helmut could unironically be Hitler's son.
