King of the Hill did the obligatory "token immigrant character" much better than the Simpsons. he hates the locals, is succesful but isn't explained much why, forbids his daughter from interacting with Bobby and other local boys, and the other characters are mildly (not overtly) racist towards him. that's much more realistic than Apu.
