But, Anon, what IS canon? If you have a manga and an anime that mostly agree with each other but the anime adds a couple of filler episodes that gain time for the manga to progress without altering the status quo, it seems fair to call that non-canon. If, however, the anime goes off in its own completely original direction and ends up telling a BETTER story than the manga, it seems fair to call that an alternate canon rather than not-canon.
