In jeet countries they train elephants to be compliant by beating them with sticks from their earliest days to psychologically terrify them into timidity and you see those huge beasts in the flower of their youth and at the fulness of their power cowering before skinnyfat brown subhumans a fraction of their size waving at them with twigs. The muscles have been out of use for decades if not centuries and to try to attempt maximum strain on them from zero would snap the whole limb. It's too late for Charles, he's ancient, but the next one could be a more proactive kang and given the infinite procession of unpopular incompetents that britain has as prime ministers, at this point it wouldn't be seen as meddling as much as it would be salvation. A few decades (yes, decades) of careful, intelligent statesmanship with visible successes and King William IV would be near absolutism, and in this era of dissolution would undoubtedly be called the Great even in his own lifetime. A pleasant daydream that is.
