His fat heavy ass makes him easy combo food, and like most heavy characters, his game plan mostly involves hoping you can predict your opponent's next move so you can try to catch them with an attack, or else you miss the read and are left wide open to get punished against faster characters.

But honestly, I got a suspicion that roughly half of this list is decided by how a character can respond to Steve and/or Sonic, since that's the majority of what's gonna challenge you in the competitive scene.
