The more I learn about history, the more horrified I am about humans.

I used to really love history and learning about it, but the last few months I've become extremely depressed. I've realised human history is nothing more than a struggle for conquest. Romans or Germans. Catholic or Protestant. The entire history of the human race is one of mass suffering. The powerful inflict their will upon the weak. The result? Genocide, starvation, war, disease etc. It make me so fucking depressed to think about how fucked our species is and how much suffering we inflict generation after generation

If you read psychology books and lectures from professors in psychology before 1971, they all talk about how homosexuality happens due sexual trauma or becausw of devouring mothers who control their child's emotions and absent male role models growing up to fill the void.

Crazy how all of this was wiped from modern academia.
