This saw meta side deck play in Tear 0 because it was a time win con.
An easy to access life gain card would see meta play just for that reason, regardless of the actual life gain amount.
In a more abstract sense you can view gaining near infinite life as being an FTK since every single opponent would rather scoop and go to the next game than try to punch through trillions of LP, so obviously there is a point where high enough life gain becomes a valid win con, now the question is how low is the bar for a card that gains LP to be playable by itself.

I would say a card that gave you something like ~20,000 LP would see some main deck play. It needs to be enough to survive more than one turn of full board aggression because if it only buys you a turn then it could have just been a typical card that cycles instead or something like Waboku, neither of which are particularly good in modern YGO. In order for it to be better than a simple draw 1 it needs to let you live long enough to at least draw 2 off its effect alone, otherwise I'd just rather play something like upstart. Even then I'm pretty sure most decks wouldn't want it.
