No, we want original stories that aren't shit. It's not difficult. Inside Out was an 'original' idea. People liked that. You made Elio or w/e it is called, made it a coming-of-age-coming-out story and then Trump won and you started to panic and cut everything that made the film unique, therefore creating a film about nothing. It wasn't even Disney who panicked, it was Pixar execs and all their internal Pride group quit over it. The fact it was boring animation style that is seen day in day out by most people didn't help.
There is a lot of issues with the film and it being an original IP is not one of the reasons. It didn't look interesting even if you put the coming-out story line in it. Again, you've produced original IPs that have done well. Toy Story is an idea that both adults and kids love. Adults were kids once, they like the idea of toys coming alive when they're not watching. Same shit as Harry Potter being kid/young teen books but consumed by adults, because it hit an idea that 90% of people experience, school and wishing they had magic. It literally translated across cultures and languages. So good that the Russians stole the idea and tried to make their own knock-off that got banned outside of Russia for copyright infringement.
So, next time, have your g uys on $200k per year sit down and work out a story that both adults and kids will like and make it. Inside Out worked because everybody has emotions, so the idea of emotions being 'inside' you and 'talking' to each other while covering every day social situations means - SURPRISE - kids and adults like it. What is interesting for kids and adults for Elio?
