No, most likely old-stock actually. He just has a severe case of conservative boomerism.
It's funny though, all these "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" people that tell you to put in honest work in fast food/convenience stores never actually followed their own advice. They usually work for think tanks and only got their position through backdoor networking (re Chris Rufo). Or, in the case of Murray, he was accepted into the elite milieu of Harvard at 18 and has basically spent his entire life in research. But even if you embrace a 'sucks to suck' attitude and proclaim it's no one else's fault that you're not smart enough to get into elite schools or have powerful social connections, if you're honest, you have to admit that even honest work is more difficult nowadays due to social erosion brought upon by the radical left during the latter half of the 20th century. There is no honest work anymore in the Norman Rockwell sense, managing a fast food joint for high school/college kids on summer break, or working at a convenience store and shooting the breeze with morning commuters over coffee every morning. The high school and college kids were replaced with criminals with neck tattoos, and all the convenience stores have been taken over my cliquish Indians. Murray of all people should know this considering the research he's done.
