Why did they look like this? To me, the implication is that Maelle didn't revive these people, but rather made shittier copies of them. Again, it just seems to be really arbitrary what she can and can't do. I WANT to believe that Maelle just straight up revived everyone. That way, I feel good about picking her ending.
