>the game
Julia. Not "the game". Julia's letter isn't Nemlei talking to the audience. It's written by a character within a story who is trying to create a narrative to cope with her choices. If you cannot understand this then you should not be discussing video games.
Julia posits that it may be a possibility that she knew, but that said possibility is just as likely as Andrew being "really good at hiding it". So, she says that she doesn't know if she was or wasn't aware. If you are to take those words as gospel then you cannot in good faith ever say that she wasn't aware. You can only say that she may or may not have been aware.
This "may or may not" wording is in direct contrast to the clear words of "have finally opened my eyes". How can you say that your eyes have been opened if you're aware that they may have been open all along?
Well, it's obviously because you're not trying to take any responsibility for your part in the relationship! So, maybe you knew, but maybe you didn't!
Julia's letter is pure cope and it exists as a means to manufacture closure for her. She wants to forget about Andrew because his function (shit life relief pet) is no longer worthwhile to her anymore now that she has "grown". Within the context of the rest of the letter in tandem with who she is and what she's done that line becomes obvious as an admission.

Literally not "the last 3 months".
