I always hope that when I die, maybe I'll get to see my old dog, who was born 3 days after me. My partner always tells me to take care of their childhood cat until he reaches me. I think I'd become more of a cat person, judging from the stories of her.

Same here. It's mostly because mother is a night owl and father doesn't like to sleep alone. He too, however, has been sleeping with ear plugs in recently before her snoring is so loud he can hear it downstairs in the morning.
