>Al will accidentally cause a (semi)permanent death and set his own checkpoint too late and he will willingly set Subaru free to fix it.
>Subaru couldn’t save Rem because he tried to protect her by sending her off to the capital, but the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony attacked her, and the checkpoint was set too late, outside of Subaru’s control. By contrast, Al can’t save Rem either, but he’s the one working with Gluttony and the one who set his own checkpoint too late.
Literally the easiest way to defeat Al.
