Czech Kuttenberg visitor here, I’ve put together a list of minor trivia and quotes from Tobi’s Saturday talk that I missed in my original posts.

Development & Studio
>when Warhorse started working on Kuttenberg, they needed to map the original 15th century layout of the city; many of the old buildings are still there or their remains are hidden under the new buildings
>Tobi: “To get a better idea how it all looked, we needed to access the basements. Many of the historical buildings belong to the state, so that was easy, but many others are in private hands. Contacting the owners and renters through normal channels would be a pain, so we went building by building, ringing the doorbells and telling people ‘We’re game developers, we’re making a game about Kuttenberg, can we take a look at your basement?’ You can imagine their faces.”

>Warhorse has now grown to about 300 people
>Tobi: “It’s nice to see that we as a country can give the world more than just beer, artisan glass, and PornHub pages.” (audience laughter)

>Tobi: “I’m the bearded talking face of the studio and have been since gosh, 2014, I think. The studio already has one bearded talking face, but that one says shit we all know he does, so I guess the studio thought a weird German-Ostrava guy would be an upgrade.”(audience laughter)
>Tobi: “We were a pretty punkish studio when we started out and we still are, I guess, just better organized. And we can afford hotels and flight tickets now.” (audience laughter) “We are and will be your studio next-door, you can come visit us, come work for us, and we make our games for you.” (applause and cheers)

DLC
>Tobi: “In the second DLC, Henry will have a nice little store in Kuttenberg, selling stuff. Those of you who have finally left Trosky and reached Kuttenberg (audience laughter) might even know the exact location already.”
