You see, because GoG touts itself as the freer alternative to Steam, that means brainlets with the IQ of chewing gum means that it must be totally free, zero restrictions, pirate all you want. Which is not and has not ever been their motto. It's simply that it strives to be a freer alternative that encourages developers to not put DRM in their games.

So of course the cleft-palate fanbase of /v/ immediately takes this to mean they are hypocrites who are worse than Steam or even Origin in every way and anyone using GoG is a tool for people grifting them. Never mind they're the freest option we have and they are legit trying to change the gaming landscape any way they can, it's not Fitgirl Repack of every game so it doesn't count.
