unironically, there's been a reddit thread. i've read it.
this gave the npcs their update on the correct opinions to hold about guardian.

redditors are leftists who always "defend" the "weakest perceived". so they started defending him for the specific reason that people are dunking on him.
they know the reality perfectly well (just like in many other things), and they choose to fight it to "be nice" and "stop the bullies".

obviously they're wrong. no one is hating guardian for personal reasons.
he literally needs to be buffed, and the dunking isn't bullying but pointing out that he's very undertuned.
