You got more little electronics and software bs to worry about, but you can also go for the GMC version that has many nice features from the Escalade, but more simple like a tahoe/suburban. I been driving my 2015 Yukon with the 5.3 for quite a while, has 0 so issues at 150,000miles. If you get the 6.2l engine, get the recall work done asap.
Also, you don't need to get the XL version, my fat ass can fit in the third row just fine in the short version. The XL really makes a difference if you want haul a bunch of stuff with the third row up. Just know the in city gas millage sucks, XL or not.
