Souls loretubers have an incentive to throw AC's impact on souls out the door, since researching the 14 years dark age of souls games not existing is probably a pain in the ass for them.
It manifests most notably as ignoring souls pulling characters from 4th gen AC, but there's also the especially desperate attempt to pin Patches' origins to noname fantasy characters from the pre-AC4 games. This is especially funny considering there's a "Patch" character in ACMoA
