i am just now starting two books, but i am primarily reading picrel. i actually do not know anything about it and i've only read like thirtyish pages so far but i am really enjoying it! i started it by recommendation after Infinite Jest. it seems to be very silly but i am still adjusting to the prose.
the other book i am reading is Terry Pratchett's Thief of Time, which is one of the Discworld series books and i also know nothing about. it was given to me by a colleague and mentor and so far (i have read basically nothing) it seems to be about an autist who is being coaxed (by malevolent forces?) into building the first perfectly accurate clock, like on a multi-dimensional scale or something i think

My copy of Gravity's Rainbow is the Penguin Deluxe Classic edition with deckled edges. They make it impossible to schizophrenically skip back to a previous section every five minutes.
