There is no good reason that justifies genocides and death star. Empire was written as unambiguously evil, it literally says so in the opening crawl of 1977 film. Yet people here want to shoot younglings and "terrorists" (Luke's aunt and uncle). It's like the entire purpose of this franchise flew over their heads.
