Electro wouldn't have registered as "cool" in any era, the mask is just too stupid, it looks like something a kid would make at a birthday party out of a paper plate and string.

Picrel is a perfect way to make Electro look like a standard cape character, but also not retarded. And yes this look would have been fine in the 60s too, there's nothing "modernized" about it, it's just less stupid
