Both are valid choices these days. Pen/pencil and notebook are useful because you don't need power. Portable laptops are great too though if you need other things. I use a 2008 Netbook for basic word processing/office use/internet browsing/listening to music/emulation (LMDE 6, Atom N270, 1.5gb ram) and the battery lasts for 8 hours, with an interchangeable battery.

If video games were called something different like "ludofilms" would people stop seeing it as children's entertainment
