so I wrote this block of text because I couldn't figure out how to fix her fucking scarf:
>for now I'm gonna cut my losses and just disable the scarf until I can fix the SMP in the future. Currently suffering trying to fix it, either this is an issue nobody has ever encountered or one nobody has ever documented how to solve. I think I know how to fix it in principle, but I don't know if I have the tools to do it. I'm pretty sure it's caused by the unique skeleton she has, and that the vertices affected by SMP physics aren't being scaled with it since her skeleton scales are baked in. So in theory, if I can use bodyslide with her custom skeleton as the reference proportions, I can build nifs that would have the smp vertices pre-baked with the skeleton transforms. But bodyslide doesn't seem to have a functional way to do this.
Then after doing this, I went in-game and dropped myself the scarf and gave it to her, and THIS way the scarf doesn't have any issues at all. I'm kinda fucking baffled. I gotta double check if it's fixed the normal way now, or if it's only fixed when she receives the armor from you??
Modding is hell.
