I really think Yoship believes that the 10 year excel spreadsheet he cooked up in ARR will be suitable for yet another 10 years of the game's lifespan.
After 10 years of the same expansion and patch formula, people are sick of it NOW, let alone another decade of this shit. Combined with the longer patch cycles it's extremely hard to be positive about the game's future if it's gonna be anything like now. I mean look at OC, one of the premier reasons to give a shit about Dawntrail as an expac compared to Endwalker, and it's about as entertaining as a wet fart, especially compared to its predecessors. It took almost a year to come out after the expansion launch, it had a lot of bugs, all of the Forked Tower nonsense design decisions, the decimation of previous zones' rewards by just giving them away for free in this new zone. It was like a fucking intern who never even did the previous 2 zones made this shit. If this is the same level of quality we can expect going into the future, what hope is there to be had?
