Housing will never get cheaper.
Look at cities that are more developed than yours. At some point there is diminishing returns in transport infrastructure and they try to get higher and higher density housing to compensate. To keep the city population growing. Politicians are telling you they want affordable housing but trying to drive house prices higher at the same time so that developers will build and that bankers will lend. Politicians are liars. There is no economic benefit to cheaper housing that cant be outmatched by more expensive housing and mass immigration. There is no crises.
Housing will get more expensive and worse and redditors will cheer for it.
