so what is cathays "thing"

like, dwarfs are all slow and tough, elves are all fast and fancy, beasts berserk, warriors of chaos are all brick shithouses, undead reanimate, etc.

what is their niche or gimmick? is it just the dragon? i was looking through their rules and they dont seem particularly fighty or fast, they're tough but not crazy like dwarf tough. they arent slow but i dont think i would call them fast either. they only have a single monster at the moment, almost no shooting outside of artillery. are they just meant to be generalists? or is it all about the dragon? im struggling to get a good sense of what their whole gimmick is supposed to be
