I enjoy thinking about these topics. Let's forget about politics or economics for a minute:
I am the opposite of a misanthropist yet I've grown very disillusioned with both the current state and societal composition.
Even the rich and beautiful that I know, are depressed.
The bar is much lower for ethics and morality, even for the average person that has always leaned towards immorality throughout history.
The only [individual] solution I can think of is something close to Nietzsche's ubermensch but much less gay, more cynic and aggressive. Socially manipulative, machiavellian, etc.
Yet, I am a soft person at heart instead of a sociopath. I am almost a naturally-born Christian, even though I hate christcucks. (>>24494029) So I usually end up giving away too much without taking and being a pushover, even being a big guy with years of boxing experience. Almost a decade of this and I've only dealt with bad people. The line between cowardice and kindness is very thin.
I imagine in a smaller polis where people will have to live their entire lives then have children, overall we'd have much more moral and ethical citizens who'd treat each other with kindness and charity out of necessity. So there's something to the "rat utopia experiment" stuff except it's less about "overpopulation" and more about everything else.
