Every time you people talk about Coronation Day, it makes me wonder if you actually know anything about it, because you're always insisting that it's some story about Super Mario and Princess Peach and a demon. Of course, a totally in-universe explanation like that is going to be popular, but it doesn't explain all the dialogue, specifically the hack's metafictional elements and references to real-world dates.

Why does the true ending's text begin with "July 31st, 1992"? Do you really think that's supposed to be some date within the Mario universe? That's obviously retarded. So the whole "Peach got possessed by a demon who is torturing Mario" thing was obviously not the intention of the hack's authors.

So why do you insist on asserting this as fact? Some of you even try to correct people on the gender of the "Forest King", because in that theory, it's a male spirit possessing Peach. Don't you think that by asserting this silly Princess Peach Possession thing, you are spitting on the hack's efforts to create a vague horror narrative with many different possible interpretations? You claim to enjoy Coronation Day but every time you talk about it, you undermine what it does best.
