I already do that, if I see I can't hold the lane or have a bad match up, my best bet is roaming.

Hm-hm, I see. I mostly check the lanes from under my tower because it's the safest. There have been...'accidents' where I was checking the lane with free cam, and didn't notice being sneaked on by the enemy midlaner/jungler. I should improve my map awareness some more but I'm getting there.

Check picrel, those are the spots I place wards on, not exactly on the bushes because that way I get vision on a larger area (note: behind the bush midlane instead of in, I feel it covers more paths). Of course, there is still the bush in the middle of the river, where I place a pink; going too deep in the enemy jungle feels too risky so I avoid that unless roaming with our jungler.

Oh I've seen that being done. Haven't considered it to prefer more jungle vision.
