Not to put too fine a point on it for political shitflinging but the premier example is Russia, because over there the world ended in 1991, everything that still functions was built before 1991, everything gets slightly worse with each day that passes taking us farther away from 1991, and there have been numerous attempts to make new things post-1991 and every single one of them has in some way failed

There's thousands of planes from 1983 but they can't build new ones, they tried to make a new state of the art stealth fighter and there's literally like four of them
There's tens of thousands of tanks from 1972 but they can't build new ones, after a decade the new model has about two dozen failed prototypes
There's millions of rifles from 1974 but they can't build new ones, so I wonder where that puts them in relation to the Gun Runners and the NCR
There's an incredible giant nuclear powered battleship (built in 1980) and a thousand foot long aircraft carrier (just barely squeezed out of port in 1991) and these magnificent warships are barely afloat now while their shipyards couldn't hope to make anything today 1/10th their size
