lynchs dune is one of those movies you watch when you're young and it makes a real big impression. its a movie that is very fun to think about, but as an actual movie its not very good. you can feel how restrained it is and how its pacing is extremely fucked. its very creative conceptually, but feels very cheap when you're actually watching it. almost feels like a cheap 60s movie or something. DUNC is complete shit too though. idk, i think dune is just an extremely hard IP to put to the screen.
