An obnoxious episode meant to establish the magic mcguffins to be used by Cozy Glow in the finale. Shoved Discord in there to pretend there was a plot. The episode supplies some neat screenshots of Discord, and is more palatable if you pretend that Discord was a stand-in for mean fans who dare to dislike TWILIGHT SPARKLE™'s School of Friendship™ and would love to tear it down.
It's even possible to somewhat connect this episode to the OP topic by arguing how interesting it is that Discord's ghost can move outside of his body, or that Discord can turn himself to stone and shatter as an inconsequential visual gag. (So much for those 2019-core sledgehammer fantasies.)
Is body-morphing inherent to draconequi, or is it a Discord-only thing? (Cosmos also does it to some degree, but she's a poo-poo noodle (boo!), no cool pool noodle.)
