I haven't used the notify option on TD, but I have used it on other sites and my luck with that has been bad. If you're not following the link and checkout process immediately after you receive the email you will usually be SOL.
Even though I now own 3 2020 2oz goose I have a notification with one site, which restocked a few weeks ago. I was only a minute or two late looking at the email and by the time I went to purchase it was sold out, again. On certain items I'm sure it could work for us, but the more popular items have many anons looking for the same notification which turns into a race of who can checkout first.
