I've been to a lot of cities and to be honest, maybe I'm biased but overall I like the city. There are a lot of faults (lot of rust belt zones, road quality in general, every train station except one looks like we just got bombed or something, etc.) but overall imo it is a fun city. Drinking a beer at the Garden of Philosophers overlooking the city or just walking across the Margaret bridge at night is a pretty nice experience even if you come from a first world country. There was a gastro boom worldwide like 10-15 years ago so there are a shit-ton of bars and restaurants nowadays. Every district has decent areas to live with the nicest (II, XII, XI) being really good imo. You can also go and hike a bit in the hills and smaller mountains nearby, they are very accessible. The biggest problem is other than the mentioned above is that infrastructure like tunneling does not happen so that is going to be a problem. But the city itself is livable imo
