Now retard anon is tripped up by the fact it's heavy armor class. That's for the sake of save. Any armor is magical armor. Same way brayshamans can now take chaos plate (which the rule makes clearer) but the key is the rule on the armor stating "may be worm by a wizard"
It's not super clear but given the offical app even allows it and tournaments om guessing 1- VC anon is a turbo autist 2- as a legacy army the writers don't really give a fuck and 3- it was probably intended for only Vampires (who iirc used to have some leway with armor and casting) but given VC are mid and necromancers hardly a combat beast the rules as written were given a greenlight.
