Page 28 done. This anon gave me a low blow in my already suffering guts >>7618511 , wich I was expecting, but still hurts. I'm not deciding shit, This is exactly what happens in the book, and it gave me PTSD when I'd read that chapter. So much that I had to do this coomixxx to, somehow, exorcise that anger and pain. I can't change a classic book, that would be immature and dumb, but I wanted to make the character aware, to give him a sensible consciousness to feel guilt and pain. Funnily what I wanted to achieve drawing that, actually happened at the end of the book when the Hierodules present to him mock ups of his past crimes, and that nasty Severian even makes fun of how inaccurate those fake memories are, but, that's what I tried to do, to make him aware, to point and say "Look at what you did, you piece of shit! APOLOGIZE!". But it's just a personal cope, Severian found redemption through performing countless terrible sins, I don't like that message, but anyways, I managed to get that out of my system.
On another note, reading again that gruesome chapter, I can be almost totally certain that Morwenna actually used the poison on herself as well, after pouring it on Eusebia's bouquet she had it on her hands. In the book, (as I quoted almost exactly) Morwenna doesn't react to the punishment, and the way Gene writes that part almost screams at your face that Morwenna was out as soon as "Her pale, long-lashed eyelids fell", I wanted to draw her showing a last shock reaction with her eyes wide open, but, the book is pretty clear, that she's not "there" anymore. And you may say, "oh come on, you fucker, you made up a whole crazy ass sex encounter and that shit about Eusebia giving her the poison and you care about one detail at the end?" Well, that fucking end is what makes this shit meaningful so I really cared about not changing any of that final moment
Alright two more pages to wrap this up and I'll go back to reading some other shit for a while
