I have another thing to about O' the Great Gendarme. First is that the song that plays when shenanigans ensure in newer events was just this this events battle theme. I can't even hear it as a battle theme because of that.

Second I had a realization about Durga and by extension Dagon

The reason she's Infernal Attribute is because she is the combination of all the things that were considered ugly/unnecessary about The Daughter of The Mountain. And also this explains why Dagon is Infernal too! Of course Infernal characters were explained in Chapter 6 but my brain remade that connection earlier today.

I liked this year's a bit more mainly because of Jack Frost. I also agree with you about Inari the bit of information was interesting for his character and story details. But if I'm being honest no New Semester has been as good as New Semester 2018 part 1 in my opinion for an obvious reason.

IIRC Chapters 11-13 or at least one of those are really good. They're most likely are going to be more intense than Chapters 7 and 8 which fill me with a mix of dread and intrigue considering what I remember from 7 and 8. I would also say 9 and 10 but I can't recall them as well
