As the spring dawned upon the year 413, the Western Roman Empire breathed a slight sigh of relief. The Hunnic threat had been dealt with for the moment, though more of their accursed hordes were known to be on the way. In the meantime however, Sextus Perennis and the VI legion had other concerns. The migrating tribe of the Jutes, having been intimidated off of Hispanian shores, had chosen to sail north and make landfall in Britannia once again. From his legion's encampment at Lindum, Sextus is quite confident in his ability to vanquish this long-wandering barbarians and put an end to their loitering off the Emperor's shores.
